I like it!

For some time now I have been telling my customers to either buy Canon or Hp printers. They are more efficient and higher quality than any other brand. I also like these brands simply because they are aware of the aftermarket industry. Hp and Canon do not restrict free trade and competition like Lexmark and Epson do. Stay away from Epson, Dell and Lexmark printers. But anyway, back to the printer review I am doing.

The Canon Pixma MX700 is a double threat of a multifunction inkjet, combining high-quality output with fast task speeds. Though it lacks some options that would make it even more compelling as an office workhorse–advanced fax features and a duplexer, to name two–when compared to other $200 office-oriented inkjet multifunctions such as the Lexmark X9350 it comes out on top with the best combination of features and performance. It even improves on Canon’s last-generation office multifunction, the Canon MP 530 by adding an LCD, networking, and media card slots. Due to the somewhat limited fax functions and task speeds, the Pixma MX700 is best suited for offices with light print needs and those who can take advantage of non-office features such as photo printing.

The Pixma MX700’s many features make it suitable for a small work environment with a variety of printing needs. It comes network-ready–great for a multiuser office. And it prints, scans, copies, and faxes, so all the bases are covered. The only big feature it lacks is an autoduplexer for automatic double-sided prints. The print driver will assist you with manual duplex operations, though, with a pop-up window that shows you how to rotate and feed the paper.

As for supplies, the MX700 uses the CLI-8 series and PGI-5 cartridges. This system works well simply because there is an individual cartridges for each color. You need to only replace the color that runs out on you. These cartridges work well because they can be refilled several times and will work like the originals. Being eco-friendly and saving cash go well hand in hand. Hope this helps your search for a new printer.
